Hi, I'm Leland.

I've served Ward 18 on the Board of Alders by showing up, listening hard, and following through. Now I'm running for state rep in the 97th—the seat Rep. Al Paolillo held for years.

A little more about me

I'm an alder for Ward 18 on the New Haven Board of Alders. Before that I worked in the Connecticut Attorney General's office. Both jobs taught me the same lesson: show up, pay attention to the details, and follow through.

On the Board of Alders I've fought to keep Ward 18 affordable, protect East Shore parks, keep our streets safe, hold Tweed accountable to neighbors, and make sure our wealthiest institutions pay their fair share. I send a neighborhood newsletter, show up to the East Shore Mgmt Team, and try to be responsive when something needs fixing.

A lot of what affects affordability—school funding, wages, housing, climate policy—is decided in Hartford. I want to take what I've learned on the East Shore and fight for working families across the full 97th District.

Lets Work Together

I'm at neighborhood meetings, board hearings, and events around the district. Introduce yourself—I'd love to hear what's on your mind.
