I have big shoes to fill here and lots of hard work to do listening and learning from folks in the communities throughout the 97th district. As an alder, I have made it a point to serve all corners of my community and collaborate with neighboring alders—and I plan to serve all corners of the district as state rep.

Affordability

Keep the 97th affordable so that people can stay in their homes and support city-wide affordable housing initiatives.

Fully funded services

Ensure our wealthiest corporations pay their fair share so that vital services are fully funded.

Jobs

Support good union jobs, good benefits, local businesses, and local hiring.

Education

Fully fund schools and give teachers the tools and support they need to help students succeed.

Environment

Support efforts to make New Haven more sustainable and fight climate change.

Accountability

Listen carefully and be responsive to the concerns of neighbors—from Tweed and Avports on traffic, noise, and pollution, to the day-to-day issues I hear as Ward 18 alder.
